RS-485 I/O expander module
It is easy and cost-effective to expand I/O for monitoring and control more operations from the VikMote unit simply by connecting ADAM I/O expander module devices via RS-485 communication port
The I/O extension module is of high-quality and low-cost add-on data acquisition device that allows expanding the on-board input/output capabilities on VikMote VX20, VikMote VX40 and VikMote VX90 units using MODBUS communication protocol.
The I/O extension module uses RS-485 as MODBUS communication protocol – the industry’s most widely used bi-directional, balanced transmission line standard. It lets the module transmit and receive data at high data rates over long distances.
The I/O extension module can be used to expand the VikMote unit with additional digital/analog inputs and outputs.
The I/O extension module works in a variety of environments and any applications from Vikingegaarden, including:

Get up to 72 digital inputs from one VikMote unit
A digital input handles operations which gives a signal that is either on or off such as a pushbutton, sensors or selector switches.
Get up to 36 analog inputs from one VikMote unit
An analog input converts a voltage or current (e.g. a signal that can be anywhere from 0 to 20mA) into a digitally equivalent number that can be processed and analyzed from the cloud-based system, VMS. Examples of analog operations are pressure transducers, flow meters and energy analyzers for usage readings.
Get up to 60 digital outputs from one VikMote unit
A digital output turns an operation on/off such as lights, LEDs, small motors, and relays.
Get up to 20 analog outputs from one VikMote unit
An analog output converts digital numbers sent by the VikMote units to e.g. in real life voltage or current. Analog outputs signals can be used to drive flow controllers, pressure regulators and position controls.
