Shore supply, refers to electrical power supplied to a vessel while connected to a wharf or shore-based power source. Instead of using internal generators or engines to generate electricity on board the ship or boat, shore supply can provide the electricity needed to power various onboard systems, including lighting, air conditioning, appliances and charging batteries.
