MarineGuard: mast, marine light and monitoring
MarineGuard combines a modular mast, a selected lantern or beacon, power supply and remote monitoring in one configured installation. Vikingegaarden specifies the system for harbor entrances, lighthouse sites and other fixed aids to navigation.

Key features
Five components engineered to work together in maritime conditions, configured for your site.

Durable, modular masts, customisable in height from 2 to 40 metres, easy to maintain and available in any colour, including IALA daymark and brand colours.
Choose from over 50 models and more than 100 configurations. Light range, power consumption and environmental suitability depend on the selected lantern.
Compact, lightweight lanterns with programmable tricolour output, so sector and character changes are configured rather than rebuilt.
Battery backup supports the light during a power failure and reports the outage. Backup duration is specified for the selected light and battery configuration.
SolarMax combines solar panels with a standalone solar powered UPS for installations without a grid connection.
Monitor equipment, receive reports and manage multiple installations through the Emiko platform, with GSM control also available.
Connected alarms report issues at the light so the operator can assess the fault and arrange a response.
Vikingegaarden coordinates the mast, light, power and control components as one supplied and supported system.
Applications
A configurable system for fixed marine-lighting and identification applications.
Full lighthouse solution: tall mast, long range lantern, backup power and remote monitoring on one site.
Lantern installations at pier heads and harbor entrances, on masts sized to the location.
Sector light solution built on programmable tricolour lanterns, configured for the sectors your fairway needs.
Range light solution with masts configured to the heights the leading line requires.
How it works
Every MarineGuard is configured from the same building blocks, whether it stands at a harbor entrance or on an exposed coastal site.

Select the mast height, light and power arrangement for the site. The supporting electronics, including PowerGuard, the Emiko controller and any solar UPS and batteries, sit in a weatherproof structure at the base. Grid connected installations use backup power; the SolarMax configuration uses solar panels and a standalone UPS.
Vikingegaarden configures the components together and sets up remote status, alarms and reporting through the Emiko platform or GSM control.
Choose the mast: height from 2 to 40 m, modular, painted in any colour
Choose the lantern or beacon from over 50 models and 100+ configurations
Specify PowerGuard backup for the selected light and operating requirement
Grid connected, or SolarMax with solar panels and a standalone solar UPS
Connect the installation to Emiko for remote monitoring, alarms and reports
Ecosystem
MarineGuard is assembled by Vikingegaarden from its own masts, power and control components and lanterns from partner manufacturers.
The lanterns and beacons in the MarineGuard programme come from our partner manufacturers, which is where the choice of over 50 models and 100 configurations comes from. Vikingegaarden supplies the mast, the PowerGuard backup, the battery and solar solutions and the Emiko integration, and configures the whole installation for your site. On the Emiko platform you monitor every light remotely, generate advanced reports and manage several businesses or harbors from one account.

Technical details
MarineGuard is a configurable system, not a single unit: mast, light, power and monitoring are combined for the site.
Mast, lantern and power components are configured for the site. Backup duration and solar autonomy must be confirmed for the selected light load and battery configuration.
Backup runtime is calculated for the selected lantern load, battery and power configuration.
Ask about a specification| Component | What you choose |
|---|---|
| Mast | 2 m to 40 m, modular, any IALA colour |
| Lantern or beacon | More than 50 models and 100 configurations, up to 30 NM range, programmable tricolor |
| Power | Grid with PowerGuard battery backup, or standalone solar for 24/7 operation |

| Extras | Radar integration available on selected lantern models |
Product guide
MarineGuard is a configured system for fixed marine lights. Specify the mast, optical performance, power arrangement and monitoring as one project.
MarineGuard serves harbor authorities, operators of sector and range lights, and owners of lighthouse sites. Vikingegaarden combines the mast, light, power and control components, and supplies, installs and supports the resulting system.
Modular masts are available from 2 to 40 metres, with colours selected for the installation. The light programme includes over 50 lantern and beacon models in more than 100 configurations, with ranges up to 30 nautical miles depending on the light.
Compare marine lanterns for general marking and range and sector lights for approach guidance. Programmable tricolour lanterns are available within the programme.
PowerGuard provides battery backup and outage reporting on a grid connected site. SolarMax combines solar panels with a standalone UPS for sites without mains power. Required autonomy and battery capacity are specified against the selected light and site conditions.
The Emiko platform provides equipment status, alarms and reports, with multiple installations managed from one account. Supporting electronics are housed in a weatherproof structure at the mast base for service access.
Vikingegaarden is based in Denmark and supports projects through the Specify, Build, Install, Operate and Service stages. Send the location, required light character and range, mast requirements and power availability to start a proposal.
A closer look

Good to know
MarineGuard combines a mast, selected lantern or beacon, power supply and remote monitoring. PowerGuard backup and solar configurations are selected according to the site requirements.
MarineGuard masts are available in heights from 2 metres up to 40 metres, so the same system covers a small pier head light and a lighthouse for a larger harbor. The masts are modular, durable and easy to maintain.
The light is selected from the required range, character and marking function. The programme includes over 50 lantern and beacon models in more than 100 configurations. Compare range and sector lights for approach guidance.
Yes. The SolarMax configuration combines solar panels and a standalone solar powered UPS. The power arrangement and required autonomy are specified for the selected light and installation.
Backup duration must be confirmed for the selected light load and battery configuration. Vikingegaarden specifies the PowerGuard or solar backup arrangement as part of the project proposal.
The Emiko platform provides equipment status, alarms and reports, including oversight of multiple installations. GSM control is also available. See the Emiko platform for the wider monitoring system.
