How Marineium works
A complete, compact solution: the hardware on the dock, the Emiko platform in the office and the app in the customer's pocket.
The customer selects an available outlet and uses the configured activation and payment method. Marineium switches the service, records the connected meter and sends the operating data to the Emiko platform. Harbor staff use the platform to manage customers, prices and reports.
Vikingegaarden configures and commissions the stand for the agreed outlets, services and communication setup.

Marineium is a compact service stand for working harbors, with configurable electricity and water outlets. Plan the vessel mix, outlet requirements and customer access before installation.
Who Marineium is for and where it fits
Marineium is built for working harbors: fishing ports, guest harbors and piers where vessels larger than leisure boats moor and need port electricity and water around the clock. One compact stand serves up to six ships at a time, which makes it the natural choice for a dock edge shared by changing traffic.
In the Vikingegaarden range it sits between Marinella NEO, the smart pedestal for marina moorings, and the large MarineMax kiosk for ships and cranes. All three report to the same Emiko platform, so a port can combine them along the waterfront without adding a second management system.
How to dimension a Marineium configuration
Each stand is configured with 1 to 6 electricity outlets and 1 to 2 water outlets. The power outlets are CEE sockets, blue 230 V single phase and red 400 V three phase, so one stand can serve small workboats and heavier consumers side by side. Count the vessels that realistically share a stretch of dock at peak, not the average day.
The space saving design matters on docks where every metre counts: a single compact stand supplies up to six vessels at the same time, with metering, control and GSM communication built into the column itself.
Installation and commissioning in Nordic harbors
Marineium uses built-in GSM communication with Emiko, so the port does not have to provide Wi-Fi at the installation point. The electrical supply, protective devices, foundations and communication coverage are checked for the selected location before commissioning.
Installations in Danish and Icelandic harbors provide relevant operating references. Enclosure protection, outlet ratings and site-specific environmental requirements are confirmed in the project quotation rather than assumed from a universal configuration.
Daily operation on the Emiko platform
Customers can use the Emiko Customer App and configured online payment methods; projects may also provide activation by direct call, SMS or an on-site key reader. Harbor staff can operate and monitor connected services from the Emiko platform.
Connected consumption records, status, alarms and reports support accounting and operational follow-up. Where the Oeconomia API is configured, approved consumption data can be transferred to the financial system for invoicing.
The Reykjavík installation
Faxaflóahafnir, the association of Icelandic ports around Reykjavík, chose Marineium for the modernisation of Gamla Höfn: 26 stands with electricity and water metering across Suðurbugt, Norðurbugt and Vesturbugt, plus a 350 A installation in Akranes, all managed in the Emiko platform with automated invoicing.
The project combines customer records, consumption data and invoicing in the Emiko platform. For a new harbor, the operational case is assessed against its own service hours, meter-reading routines and billing process.

What is Marineium?
Marineium is a medium size supply stand for ports and harbors. It gives vessels 24/7 self service access to electricity and water, meters the consumption and reports everything to the Emiko platform over a built in GSM connection, so the harbor can bill per use and monitor the stand remotely.
How many outlets does a Marineium stand have?
Each stand can be configured with 1 to 6 electricity outlets (blue 230 V single phase and red 400 V three phase CEE sockets) and 1 to 2 water outlets, and can serve up to six vessels at the same time.
How do customers activate and pay for a service?

What happens if a customer unplugs or the connection drops?
The configured outlet can switch off when the plug is removed. Network-loss behavior and synchronization depend on the controller and project configuration and are confirmed during commissioning.

Emiko shows live consumption per outlet, detects equipment malfunctions and abnormal usage in real time, and gives you detailed reports for accounting. With the Oeconomia API the invoicing data can go straight into your financial system.
Is Marineium suitable for the Nordic climate?
Marineium is installed in Danish and Icelandic harbors, including the Reykjavík project. The environmental rating, material specification and protection required for a new location are confirmed in the project documentation.
Does Marineium need a local network or internet connection on the pier?
Marineium uses built-in GSM communication with Emiko, so the port does not have to provide local Wi-Fi at the stand. Mobile coverage and the required behavior during a communication interruption are checked during project design.
