This page describes the browser storage used by vikingegaarden.com.
Current use of cookies
The pages, product catalogue and PDF reader work without any cookie. The only non-essential technology is Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-XK4FFB8GFL), which we use to count visits and see which pages are useful. It is not loaded until you allow it: before your choice, no request is sent to Google.
If you allow analytics, Google sets the _ga and _ga_* cookies on vikingegaarden.com (kept for up to 2 years) and receives your IP address and the pages you visit. We do not use advertising or marketing cookies, and advertising features are switched off.
Your choice itself is stored in your browser's local storage under the key vg-consimtamant, so we do not have to ask on every page. It is not sent to our server. If you allow analytics, we remember it until you change it. If you decline, we ask again after 24 hours. You can reopen the question at any time from the cookie button in the bottom-left corner of every page.

Forms and security
When you submit a contact or SIM form, the information is sent directly to Vikingegaarden over an encrypted connection. A short-lived server-side request limit uses the connecting IP address to reduce automated abuse. This control is held on the server and does not place a cookie in your browser.
External websites
Links to the Emiko services, documentation, portals, maps, social media and manufacturer documentation open external websites. Those services may set their own cookies after you leave vikingegaarden.com. Their cookie and privacy notices apply on their domains.
If the website changes
If we add a non-essential technology that stores or reads information on your device, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for consent before it runs.
