How it works
How MarineMax delivers power on the dock
A robust kiosk on a concrete plinth, controlled from the app, the web or a card at the door.
MarineMax is a walk in sized equipment kiosk: a gabled roof cabin clad in dark textured composite panels with light grey trim, standing on a concrete plinth. One side holds a ventilated equipment bay with a large industrial power connector, and a lockable door on the end wall gives service access. Automatic lighting improves visibility around the unit in low light, which matters in busy port environments.
Real time monitoring of consumption also lets customers optimise energy usage and avoid unnecessary power wastage, which can reduce operating costs.

MarineMax connects to the Emiko platform for customer control, consumption records, alarms and billing.
Consumption, status and alarms from MarineMax are available in the Emiko platform. Customers use the Emiko Customer App or web interface to start and stop power and make configured payments. The Oeconomia API supports agreed invoicing workflows.
For projects requiring a mobile conversion unit, ShoreSupply is a Danfoss-based option. The ship voltage, frequency, load and connection requirements are checked for the proposed installation.

MarineMax is a large fixed power kiosk. Its electrical configuration is specified around the consumers, connection points and operations at the port.
Who MarineMax is for and typical sites
MarineMax is built for commercial ports where the consumers are ships, cranes and heavy port equipment rather than leisure boats. It delivers high capacity electrical power on demand and serves one or several consumers at once, so a single kiosk can cover a working section of the dock: a moored vessel on one connector, a crane nearby on another.
It is the top of the supply pedestal range. Where marina moorings are served by Marinella NEO and mixed harbor traffic by Marineium, MarineMax takes over when standard utility service is no longer enough, and everything still reports to the same Emiko platform the rest of the port already uses.
Choosing the power configuration
Start with the vessels and machines to be supplied, their electrical requirements, duty cycles and operating locations. Outlet types, power ratings and the number of simultaneous consumers are configured for the project.
ShoreSupply provides a mobile shore power format using Danfoss drivelines. Where the products are combined, the required voltage, frequency, protection and connection arrangement must be confirmed for the complete installation.
Installation on the dock
MarineMax stands on a concrete plinth as a gabled roof cabin: a corrosion resistant marine grade aluminium frame clad in dark textured Steni composite panels with light grey trim. One side holds a ventilated equipment bay with a large industrial power connector; a lockable door on the end wall gives service access without exposing the equipment bay.
Automatic lighting switches on in low light, which illuminates the area around the unit during early morning and night operations. The marine grade aluminium frame and Steni composite panels form the outdoor enclosure. The service plan is agreed for the operating environment.
Day-to-day operation with the Emiko platform
Crews start and stop power in two ways: remotely through the Emiko Customer App or web interface, or directly at the unit with the built in RFID card reader, so no phone or web access is needed at the point of use. Consumption is monitored in real time by both the customer and the port.
Billing runs on the same data: detailed reports are available anytime in the Emiko platform, customers pay online in the Emiko Customer App and invoicing can be automated through the Oeconomia API. Real time visibility also lets operators optimise energy usage and avoid unnecessary power wastage, which reduces operating costs.
