We’re proud to introduce Björn Jóhannsson as our representative partner in Iceland, a key figure with decades of experience in the maritime and harbor supply industry.

With a lifelong background in fishing, gear, and harbor infrastructure, Björn brings valuable insight and strong relationships with over 25 Icelandic ports, connections that support Vikingegaarden’s mission to expand in the North.

Björn’s story begins on the east coast of Iceland, where his father ran a herring company and later operated fishing vessels. That legacy shaped Björn’s path,  from over a decade at sea as a fisherman, to more than 25 years as a sales manager in fishing gear and harbor supplies.

Working closely with ports across Iceland, Björn has developed strong relationships and deep insight into their evolving needs. From corrosion protection to fender systems, steel piles, ladders, lanterns, and lighting, he’s helped bring modern harbor solutions to the Icelandic coast for years.

We’re not just adding a name, we’re building on a long-standing connection.

Björn will act as our representative partner, supporting Vikingegaarden’s operations across Iceland while we continue working directly with ports on contracts, invoicing, and project execution.

With deep roots in Iceland and a lifelong connection to the maritime world, Björn combines local insight with a global mindset, making him a strong voice for port development and collaboration.

Björn’s personality, professionalism, and decades of hands-on experience make him a strong asset for our international growth, especially as we continue expanding throughout Iceland.
