Vikingegaarden A/S and ROLEC Services sign a bilateral agreement for intelligent supply stands

Vikingegaarden AS takes another important strategic step towards being able to deliver a complete package of solutions for Danish ports and marinas. The company has just signed an exclusive bilateral agreement with ROLEC Services, which includes their significant range of marina products, specifically their utility stands for electricity and water supply for ships in ports. ROLEC Supply stands have rightly gained a reputation for being a robust and durable solution that is suitable for all locations and budgets. The products can be customized and seen in many destinations, from prestigious marinas and waterfronts to smaller projects.

Combined with the IOT solution ProPower from Vikingegaarden, ROLEC supply stands become a powerful solution for ports and marinas in Denmark and other markets.

The agreement covers three aspects:

1. Vikingegaarden will be the exclusive sales distributor of ROLEC supply stands for the entire Danish area.
2. ROLEC Services assembles new intelligent supply stands at their factory using Vikingegaarden components.
3. ROLEC Services has the right to market and sell Vikingegaarden’s intelligent SW solution for communication, control, access, usage registration and payment worldwide (excluding Greater Denmark). This also includes the App ProPower Marina.

ROLEC Services is one of the world’s leading specialists in outdoor electrical equipment and has been producing utility stands for the marina industry for over three decades, now with over 25 variations available: there is a solution for every marina.

Vikingegaarden has developed the IT system ProPower, which is a web and IoT-based solution for monitoring and data collection of electricity, water, light and heat consumption as well as monitoring and locating maritime markings (e.g. buoys). There is a whole portfolio of products and equipment that is physically installed at the customers’ premises. With a login to an app, customers have an overview, control and insight into all equipment and consumption in the ports, and the ports can start – and pay for – a service (electricity, water or light) as they wish.

From August, the two companies will work together to provide ports and marinas with smart, intelligent and cost-effective utility stands, so that they can not only record electricity and water consumption, but also get paid for these services via a click of the app – without the need for big expensive credit card machines.

This new partnership will not only focus on the sale of smart, intelligent and cost-effective supply stand solutions for ports and marinas in Denmark and abroad, but also on solutions for converting existing supply stands via Smart Kits to the ProPower system.
