Vikingegaarden A/S takes over Cumulus A/S weatherstations.
Effective as of September 1 has Vikingegaarden A/S took over Cumulus A/S Weather Stations. This is the result of a close collaboration that has now culminated in this takeover
Great Synergy
Cumulus A/S and Vikingegaarden A/S have known each other for many years, and cooperated from time to time. Therefore, this takeover was an obvious choice when Cumulus A/S looked around for new owners.
The two companies have great synergies with each other both in terms of products and solutions, as well as in terms of customers. Both parties see this as a good opportunity to expand, as it is obvious to sell weather stations to the industry and to Danske Havne, where Vikingegaarden A/S are already established as suppliers.
Cumulus A/S
Cumulus A/S produces and sells professional weather stations for industrial segments, where a flexible sensor selection creates scientific data for almost any need.
Over the years, Cumulus A/S has acquired a unique expertise and position when it comes to commercial meteorology.
At the head of both the company and the weather stations themselves is director and meteorologist Torben Klausen. He has an extremely high level of expertise within observations of the weather, collection and analysis of data.
Vikingegaarden A/S
Vikingegaarden A/S is the developer of the IT system ProPower, which is a web and IOT based solution for monitoring and data collection of electricity, water, light and heat consumption, as well as monitoring and locating maritime markings such as buoys. There is a whole portfolio of products and equipment that is physically installed at the customers’ premises. With a login, customers have an overview, control and insight into all equipment and consumption.
Business as Ususal
Cumulus A/S as such continues unchanged, and Torben Klausen will continue to be responsible for Weather Stations, as he joins Vikingegaarden A/S as Sr. Consultant & Expert.
Going forward, we can further offer quite a few improvements as a result of this takeover:
Systems & Production:
Here we will increase capacity, streamline production, and focus on upgrading the technology where there is a need.
Data handling and Hosting:
We are here, over the next 12 months, to transfer all data handling and hosting to the ProPower IOT System, with greatly improved security, back-up and uptime.
Total Solutions:
We combine competences & solutions so that we can offer far broader total solutions to our customers, as well as better options for special solutions.
Customers: Handling:
There is also an improvement here, as under the new management there are on the one hand far more resources to support the customers, and on the other hand Torben Klausen is freed from the administrative role.
