Gamla Höfnin (The Old Harbor) is entering a new phase of modernization, where digital control, documented consumption, and automated service handling play a larger role in daily port operations.
As part of this development, Faxaflóahafnir has ordered a new set of Marineium supply stands integrated with the Emiko management platform, supporting electricity and water service management across multiple harbor areas.
This project includes installations in Suðurbugt, Norðurbugt, and Vesturbugt, with an additional expansion planned for Akranes.
Electricity and Water Access in the Harbor (Marineium Supply Stands)
26 Marineium supply stands will be installed as part of this update.
Each stand provides electricity and water access and includes integrated metering that reports usage directly to Emiko.
Marineium is designed for year-round coastal and industrial environments, including commercial port quays, fishery harbors, terminal areas, and small local piers.

Connecting Emiko to Harbor Accounting
Faxaflóahafnir is implementing the Oeconomia API, which links Emiko directly to the harbor’s internal financial system.
This integration allows electricity and water usage data to be transferred electronically, eliminating manual readings or manual data entry.
When a service is stopped, Emiko sends the final usage value automatically, enabling immediate and accurate billing.
