Who FlexGylle is for

FlexGylle was developed in collaboration with Danish farmers, for farms where a leak or an overfilled slurry tank means costly damage or an environmental hazard. It suits livestock farms of most sizes: the system adjusts automatically to changing slurry levels, works with a variety of tank sizes and types, and one device monitors up to two slurry tanks, so a farm with a pair of tanks needs only a single installation.

Within Vikingegaarden's slurry systems range it is the monitoring half of the pair: FlexGylle watches the tank itself, while BioWatch controls the mixer and the transfer pump.

What an installation looks like

The hardware is compact and stays outside the tank. A galvanised pole on the rim wall carries the controller, which sits closed inside a small enclosure, with a small solar panel above it where the site needs one, while a level probe runs from the wall down toward the slurry. Stainless steel pipes and galvanised brackets are chosen for long service life in the harsh, corrosive outdoor environment around a slurry tank.

The mounting and cable route are agreed around the tank and its existing stirring or pumping equipment.

Configuring tanks, power and alarm recipients

Planning a FlexGylle installation comes down to three questions. How many tanks: one device covers up to two. What power is available: the system runs on mains where the tank has grid access, and a solar power option is available for remote tanks, with the equipment selected for the site. Who should be alerted: alarms go out by SMS or voice call to one or more users, so the right people are reached even when the owner is away.

Alarms, SMS checks and the Emiko login

FlexGylle raises alarms for four events: leaks, overfilling, spillage and power failure. When a leak occurs it sends an SMS or places a voice call, and the same channels warn you before an overfill becomes a spill.

Between alarms, the tank can be checked without a site visit. Send an SMS and the system reports the tank status, or open the Emiko web login to see level measurements and system setup online. Level and volume are tracked in real time, and the system adapts automatically as the content changes.

Level records and long term slurry management

Beyond the alarm function, FlexGylle records slurry level and volume over time. Those records build into detailed statistics: how full each tank ran through the season, when it was emptied and how volumes developed. Farmers use the figures for more efficient slurry management year after year, planning capacity with data instead of guesswork, while the alarm side of the system keeps guarding against the days when something actually goes wrong.
