How it works
The buoy body carries the IALA colour and topmark; the technology on top is chosen per position.

A physical buoy marks a navigable channel, a hazard, a mooring or a boundary with a floating, IALA coloured body. The buoys are rotomoulded, foam filled polyethylene hulls, with the colour moulded into the plastic and mooring eyes formed into the sides near the waterline. The base buoy needs no power or electronics; a lantern, radar reflector or monitoring unit is added where the position calls for it.

Ecosystem
Our partner manufacturer builds the buoys. Vikingegaarden supplies them through AtoN House Nordic and equips them for the marking position.
Vikingegaarden supplies our physical buoys to Danish harbors and waters and combines them with the rest of the AtoN House Nordic range: LED lanterns, radar reflectors, radar beacons and virtual buoys. We help with the choice of line and size, ballast, mooring, lighting and monitoring, and with the paperwork for the marking plan. Where a lantern or monitoring unit on the buoy is connected, its status and alarms are followed on the Emiko platform.

The buoy line, size and mooring arrangement should match the marking function and site. Vikingegaarden supplies the hull and coordinates the equipment fitted to it.
The FLC Series provides navigation buoys from 1,200 to 3,000 mm for channels and fairways. The BEA Series covers smaller marker buoys for lakes, fjords, ports and coastal areas. Spar buoys provide a slim form for waters that may freeze. Mooring kits are available for the marker and spar lines.
Provide the marking positions, water depths and available vessel or handling equipment. Vikingegaarden helps select the buoy, ballast and mooring arrangement. Deployment requirements depend on the selected size and the conditions at the site.
The base buoy needs no electrical power. Add a marine lantern, topmark, radar reflector or monitoring equipment where the marking plan requires it. NaviGuard provides position tracking for compatible existing buoys and lanterns.
A physical buoy provides a visible mark in the water. Virtual AIS buoys appear on compatible vessel displays instead. Vikingegaarden can supply both as part of the same marking plan.
