Strong growth on the Icelandic market

10 customers in Iceland in just 18 months.

Vikingegaarden A/S has for many years, in cooperation with our partners; SABIK Marine & FullOceans, known for providing high quality navigation markers and our robust products, lanterns and beacons from SABIK Marine and buoys from FullOceans , has quickly gained recognition in the industry. Where possible we have supplied lanterns and beacons powered by solar energy, thus eliminating the need to draw power or the need for traditional large batteries for buoys. This not only reduces the operating costs of the port in question, but also makes them a more environmentally friendly choice.

Vikingegaarden A/S has experienced impressive growth on the Icelandic market in the past 18 months. We have attracted 10 new customers in Iceland, both through direct contact and through IRCA (Icelandic Road and Coastal Administration). These new customers have, among other things, chosen to invest in Vikingegaardens robust navigation marking, where we have increasingly delivered Turn-key solutions for them: Plug & Play.

“We are thrilled with the positive reception of our products and solutions for navigation marking and ProPower IoT in Iceland,” stated Michael Jönsson, Sales Director at Vikingegaarden A/S. “This underlines our commitment to providing innovative, energy-efficient turn-key solutions that meet the specific needs of each port. We value the new partnerships we have built in Iceland and we look forward to continuing to work together to create safe and sustainable sailing routes and entrances to Iceland’s Harbours.”

The latest technology for solar-powered navigation markers makes it possible to utilize these in such Northern latitudes as in Iceland, and marks an important step towards promoting safety at sea in a cost-effective and sustainable way.

Vikingegaarden A/S expects to build on this success and expand our presence in Iceland, as well as in other Nordic countries.
