How it works
From the plan to the
commissioned installation
An equipment survey establishes compatibility. The confirmed interfaces define the monitoring scope.
- 01
Survey equipment
The survey records instrument models, software versions, interfaces, supply capacity and communications coverage.
- 02
Confirm interfaces
A released serial profile or suitable PowerMonitor connection is selected for each instrument.
- 03
Assess power
Verify controller power, internet coverage, protected cabling and enclosure; specify PowerGuard if the supply is inadequate.
- 04
Configure monitoring
Sites and instruments are configured in Emiko with access rights, alarms and notification recipients.
- 05
Verify handover
Commissioning verifies available measurements, current-based alarms and supported commands before handover.
Where it is used
Existing aids requiring remote monitoring
Harbour and coastal authorities adding monitoring to existing lanterns and power installations with confirmed interfaces.
- 01
A coastal network with several lantern models and interfaces
- 02
A harbour with separate light and power monitoring arrangements
- 03
A buoy fleet with supported position-reporting equipment

Good to know
Before the
quotation
What does PowerMonitor report?
PowerMonitor monitors current draw during expected lantern operation. It does not provide internal lantern status or remote settings. Those functions require a supported instrument interface and released profile.
Does monitoring replace site inspections?
Remote information supports fault assessment and service planning. Physical inspections, cleaning, battery checks and maintenance remain part of the site service plan.
What is required for a quotation?
The enquiry requires an equipment inventory with model names, interfaces, software versions and supply details. Site locations, communications coverage, required signals and alarm recipients should also be identified.

The specification defines the equipment, installation scope and price.
The enquiry requires a chart, positions, marking requirements, mounting details, available power and required autonomy.
