Nakskov Havn selects ProPower OnSiteLight for area lighting

Published Updated 2 min read

Nakskov Havn, part of Lolland Erhvervshavne, selected ProPower OnSiteLight to centralise operation of its area lighting and support energy management. The project was announced in 2023.

Central control of area lighting

With ProPower OnSiteLight, the port decides where and when lighting is switched on. Staff manage the area's lighting from one central point, rather than operating each location separately.

The announcement described OnSiteLight as part of the ProPower system, which connected user management and electricity, water and heat consumption records to a central cloud system. Supply stands, water stations and building energy data loggers could form part of that connected setup.

Options for later expansion

The port's order focused on lighting control. The announcement also described options to extend the system to electricity, water and heat metering and GPS monitoring of buoys. These were expansion possibilities, rather than a record of additional installations.

Port profile in the original announcement

Nakskov Havn is close to the international sailing routes in the Langeland Belt. The port serves activities including loading and unloading, production, storage, raw materials, grain and feedstuffs, foodstuffs and project cargo.

  • 8.5 m water depth
  • 2 km of pier and Ro-Ro facilities
  • 60 ha of port and business area
  • 400 m2 of warehouses
  • 25 km to the motorway
Outdoor lighting-control cabinets mounted on a lattice structure, with green push buttons and a clear electrical panel.

See the current OnSiteLight lighting-control range and the Emiko platform for new projects. The ProPower name above is retained from the dated project announcement.
