Vikingegaarden's 2022 year in review

Vikingegaarden's 2022 review covered expansion in products, partnerships, customers and personnel. The year included the Cumulus takeover, new appointments and further work on harbor monitoring and consumption data.

New employees and the Cumulus takeover

The company hired three new employees during the year: two in marketing and one software developer. The appointments added resources for customer communication and software development.

A Professional Services division was established, and Morten Otto joined to take responsibility for IT security and services.

In September, Vikingegaarden took over Cumulus and welcomed meteorologist Torben Klausen, adding experience in weather stations and weather data.

Partnerships with OI Consult and Pontech

The year brought partnerships with OI Consult and Ove Ibsen, and with Pontech. These formed part of the company's plans to deliver broader harbor solutions by combining its work with partner capabilities.

OceanWatcher, ProPower and consumption data

OceanWatcher was one of the products launched during the year. The review described current measurement reaching 120 meters into the water.

The ProPower app for Android was launched to operate ProPower equipment. An iOS version for the App Store was still in development when the review was written.

Wireless MID meters were implemented to collect electricity, heating and cooling consumption data. Several customers also switched to the Oeconomia API for automatic retrieval of consumption data from their ProPower equipment.

Customers in Iceland and the Faroe Islands

The company exported to larger customers in Iceland and the Faroe Islands. Buoys and lanterns were the most popular products from Vikingegaarden and Green Harbor Technology in 2022.

The review closed with plans for further Nordic activity in 2023. It records the products, names and development plans used at the time.
