52 ProPower electricity stands delivered to Thyborøn Harbor

Green Harbor Technology delivered 52 ProPower electricity stands to the Port of Thyborøn as part of the port's work to digitalise daily operations. The project report, published in 2023, describes mobile control of electricity outlets and automated invoicing based on recorded consumption.

Outlet control and consumption records

Customers could switch their socket on and off by mobile phone and receive an invoice documenting their electricity use. The port created an integration for ProPower to transfer consumption into its invoicing process and simplify work in the bookkeeping department.

The port's reported change in billing work

"Before the investment in new electricity stands, we did not have the full overview. People could plug in the stands and if they remembered they could put on a bi-meter, but in reality we did not know how much electricity was being used without being billed. It used to take two employees a day and a half to get a rough overview. Now a single man spends 20-25 minutes on it, and we can see that we are billed for all the power that is used," says Christian Vrist, Technical Director at the Port of Thyborøn.

Water metering planned as the next step

At the time of the announcement, Vikingegaarden and the port were developing the same ProPower technology to record water consumption. This was described as the next stage of the collaboration.
