Reykjavík Harbor orders Emiko-connected water equipment

Faxaflóahafnir ordered Vikingegaarden water-service equipment connected to the Emiko platform for its Reykjavík operations. Announced in May 2024, the order combines waterfront equipment with customer, consumption and operating records in one system.
Equipment included in the order
- fire-hydrant tapping points
- WaterStations for hot and cold water delivery to ships
- WaterStation configurations with integrated underground fire-hydrant access
The project configuration is intended to provide controlled water access and recorded consumption while retaining the required fire-service points. Final outlet, flow, frost-protection and installation details are determined in the project documentation.
The role of the Emiko platform
For connected equipment, the Emiko platform provides customer access, service status, consumption history and reporting. Optional transfer of approved records to a financial system uses the Oeconomia API. User permissions determine which staff and customers can see or operate each service.
A separate later order for Gamla Höfnin
A later Faxaflóahafnir order covered connected electricity and water supply stands across three areas of Gamla Höfnin. Read the Marineium order announcement for that later project scope.
