JT Electric selects lanterns for North Atlantic fish farms

Green Harbor Technology announced a shipment of self-contained navigation lanterns to JT Electric for aquaculture farms in the North Atlantic. The release described it as GHT's largest single order of self-contained lanterns at that time.
Aquaculture experience in the Faroe Islands
JT Electric had supplied electrical products and solutions for aquaculture since 1972. Based in the Faroe Islands, the company worked with suppliers and partners on equipment for North Atlantic conditions and served aquaculture customers in other markets.
Its stated motto was "In Safe Hands". For this order, the selection of navigation lanterns reflected the operating environment and the marking requirements of fish-farm sites.
Lantern selection for exposed sites
The shipment included self-contained lanterns supplied by Green Harbor Technology and its partner manufacturer. The customer described using a family of lanterns according to application and range requirements.
The project concerned navigation marking around aquaculture farms used by fish-farm operators and vessels travelling through North Atlantic waters.
Comments from the announcement
Kristian Andreasen, Head of Sales at JT Electric:
"We chose the self-contained lanterns from GHT and their partner manufacturer due to the tough environment of the North Atlantic and the consequential high requirements we have for such lanterns. In fact, there is a whole family of durable lanterns we are making use of, depending upon application and range requirements. Despite challenges getting components and raw material, GHT have proven a strong, reliable partner, helping us in getting our lanterns. We look forward to working closely with GHT in the future."
Ulrik Østergaard, CEO of Green Harbor Technology (Vikingegaarden):
"We are both glad and proud that JT Electric chose us as their partner for such important aids to navigation (AtoN), and we look forward to many more interesting projects with JT Electric going forward. Self-contained lanterns for the harsh environment of the Nordics are especially a sweet spot for us, and with the products and technology from our partner manufacturer, we likely have the strongest portfolio on the market."
