Archive: Denmark’s 2030 target and port consumption data
This archive looks back at how a 2020 article connected Denmark’s 2030 climate target with consumption records in ports. Its policy context and ProPower development references belong to that period.
The historical policy context
The Danish ministry’s 2020 climate-programme announcement records the national policy background. A national target does not, by itself, specify the obligations or technical solution for an individual harbor project.
The role described for meter data
The original argument was that customers and port staff could use electricity and water records to see consumption and investigate unintended use. At the time, Vikingegaarden described this through ProPower 4.0 and a developing customer app.
Current product context
Current functions are described on the Emiko platform page and the EnergyLogger product page. Availability depends on the connected controller, meters, user permissions and project configuration.
Metering provides a baseline and evidence. It does not by itself guarantee lower consumption or emissions. Any reduction should be demonstrated from measured data and the operational or technical change that produced it.
