Buoy and lantern orders for three Icelandic ports

Three Icelandic customers ordered navigation buoys and lanterns for port entrances and channel marks, including the approach to the Port of Reykjavík. The equipment was prepared for assembly and deployment during the 2023 summer season.
Buoy configurations for the marking plan
The orders included three sizes from the FLC navigation-buoy range:
- FLC-1200 for lateral marking
- FLC-1800 for lateral marking
- FLC-2200 for a cardinal mark
The buoy hulls are rotationally moulded polyethylene with the navigation colour incorporated into the material. Model-specific buoyancy, mooring, topmark and lantern loads are confirmed for each station.
LED lanterns for North Atlantic conditions
The projects used two LED lantern types:
- VP ice lanterns for exposed northern locations
- M860 self-contained solar lanterns
Flash character, colour, nominal range, solar sizing and monitoring options were configured to the marking plan. The equipment was selected for North Atlantic operating conditions and the requirements of each location.
