Ten Icelandic customers added in 18 months

By October 2023, Vikingegaarden reported ten new Icelandic customers added over the preceding 18 months. The work included direct customer projects and projects involving the Icelandic Road and Coastal Administration.

Navigation equipment supplied

The work included navigation lanterns, beacons and buoys, with project delivery extending from equipment selection to installation and commissioning. Solar power was used where the marking requirement, local solar resource and power budget supported it.

A solar configuration can avoid a shore cable and local fuel combustion, but cost and environmental performance still depend on panel and battery sizing, transport, replacement intervals and service access. Each AtoN station is therefore specified separately.

Nordic project delivery

The Icelandic work contributed to Vikingegaarden's wider AtoN delivery model: define the marking requirement, select equipment, integrate power and monitoring, install and service the result.
